 Foods that help to improve your mood and body 

When you feel blue you may have cravings for calorie-rich high sugar food like ice cream or cookies to improve your mood. However, sugary and high-calorie foods can put negative consequences on your overall health. Your mood can be affected by many factors such as stress, environment, poor sleep, genetics, mood disorders, and malnutrition.Here are some foods that can promote your mood.

Fatty Fish

Fatty fish like salmon and albacore tuna are high in two types of omega-3s, docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) which help to reduce depression levels. Omega-3s contribute to the development of the brain and help to lower depression levels.

Dark Chocolate 

Chocolate is loaded with many mood-boosting compounds. Its sugar content can improve your mood because it’s a very fast source of fuel for your brain. Dark chocolate provides health-promoting flavonoids that have been shown to increase blood flow to your brain, reduce inflammation, and promote brain health which improves your mood regulation. Its pleasurable taste, texture, and smell can also boost a good mood.

Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice

Beetroot juice

Beets are a good source of betaine anhydrous and the amino acid tryptophan, both of which aid to uplift your mood. Beets are also an excellent source of fiber, manganese, and folate, a B vitamin. Studies suggest that folate deficiency is linked with depression.
